To provide a curved panel formed into a curved shape by an ordinary simple press work alone without performing bending work by a bending roll, formed with a corrugated plate pattern or other recessed/projecting patterns on the surface of the panel plate thereby and having a superior shape stability of the curved shape.

A rectangular panel plate 1 having a bending modulus is formed with reinforcing edges 7 retaining the linearity with their back faces facing inward at its pair of edge parts, the other pair of edge parts are defined as free end edges 8 with flexibility, the panel plate is disposed with a shape retaining member 3 having curved edges 13 across approximately the whole length and having rigidity is disposed in its back face along the both free edges, the curved edges of the shape retaining member are brought into direct or indirect pressure contact with the back face of the panel plate, and both ends of the shape retaining member are fixed to both reinforcing edges to retain the panel plate into the curved shape.
