PURPOSE: To provide such a cushion body which has good air permeability and touch and high strength and does not generate toxic gases at the time of production.
CONSTITUTION: A pad body 15 having air permeability is molded to a prescribed shape. A surface skin 17 is set in a mold 20 having suction holes 25 and a hot melt film 22 is placed thereon. A negative pressure is then generated in the mold 20, by which the surface skin 17 and the hot melt film 22 are adsorbed to the mold 20. A wad mixture 45a to be superposed on the pad body 15 is formed by blending binder fibers adhered with a hot melt agent with synthetic fibers, such as polyester. Hot wind is acted on the binder of the wad mixture 45a and the hot melt film 22 through the pad body 15, by which the molding of the fibrous wadding 45 and the adhesion to the surface skin 17 are executed.
