Abstract:

To provide a cushion mechanism of a fluid pressure cylinder with which shock added to a cushion seal is relaxed.

The cushion mechanism 6 decelerates a piston rod 30 in the vicinity of a stroke end of the piston rod 30 to a cylinder tube 10 and includes a cushion seal 70 throttling the flow of a working fluid when the piston rod 30 comes to the vicinity of the stroke, and a housing groove 25 housing the cushion seal 70. The housing groove 25 has a groove side surface 27 supporting the cushion seal 70 when the piston rod 30 comes to the vicinity of the stroke end, the groove side surface 27 is formed in a tapered shape inclined with respect to a center axis O of the piston rod 30, and reaction force of the groove side surface 27 supporting the cushion seal 70 has a component toward a side of a groove bottom surface of the housing groove 25.
