Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a weight-saved helmet having proper buffer performance against an impact.SOLUTION: A helmet (10) includes an external shell (11), and a cap (13) that is formed from an EPS or EPP material. The cap, which is arranged inside the external shell, has an upper part (131) for covering at least a top region of a skull. The cap includes a first layer (132) with a thickness "e", which almost covers the upper part, and some contact pieces (133) with a height "h", which protrude in a head direction from the first layer. The first layer and the contact pieces form a single component (13). The height of the contact piece is larger in dimension than the thickness of the first layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
