Abstract:
To obtain a cushioning material for facilitating a sorting work of a core material and a skin part of an outside of the core material when a splint is discarded after its use.
The cushioning material for the splint contains a fiber assembly having matrix fibers and a low melting point fiber having a melting point lower than that of the matrix fiber. The cushioning material for the splint has a bag-like shape having an air gap (1) for housing the core material, and an opening (2) at a part of its outer periphery. The constituting fibers are preferably all constituted of a polyester, and further preferably have a plug for blocking the opening.
