To provide an insole for footwear which is effective to prevent hallux valgus and fallen arches and to stop the progression, fits the foot of a user, and is manufactured to the order easily from foot related information such as sole shape information or the like, an assisting device for manufacturing insoles, and a sole shape sampling means.

The assisting device for manufacturing insoles is an auxiliary device which uses a computer and is used to manufacture insoles for footwear corresponding to foot related information of the user, and is equipped with an input means for entering the foot related information of the user, a foot-insole information table for storing various kinds of foot related information and the insole information by connecting them in advance, a selecting means for selecting the insole information corresponding to the foot of the user out of the table, and an output means for displaying the selected insole information and image data. The sole shape sampling means combines a color fixing agent and a paper sheet containing a substance which reacts with the color fixing agent and develops a color.
