Abstract:
PURPOSE:To protect a main circuit element by limiting an AC input current to a desired value, even in the case an effective value of an AC input voltage of the high power-factor type converter is varied. CONSTITUTION:In the high power-factor type converter for allowing an AC input current to follow synchronously with an AC input voltage, an effective value detecting circuit 7 for detecting an effective value of the AC input voltage from an AC input current detection value, a divider 8 for dividing the AC input current detection value by the effective value, a multiplier 3 for obtaining an AC input current command S2 by multiplying an output voltage amplitude command S1 of the converter and a current waveform command S3 being the output of the divider 8 are provided.
