Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out the adjustment of the amount of projection of a cutter by once and make the re-adjustment of the cutter unnecessary by a method wherein an angle between the first side face of a cutter housing groove and the inclined face of a centrifugally fixing plate abutting against a back iron is made smaller than an angle between a pair of opposing inclined faces of the centrifugally fixing plate and adjust screws abutting against the tool reference plane of the cutter housing groove are threaded in the back iron.
SOLUTION: A back iron back angle θ1 is set to be an acute angle having its apex towards an outer peripheral direction. In order to let a centrifugally fixing plate 5 press a back iron 4 against a tool reference plane 2c side and a cutter 3 side when the centrifugally fixing plate flys outwards by means of the centrifugal force caused in the centrifugally fixing plate 5, the relationship between the back iron back angle θ1 and a centrifugally fixing plate back angle θ2 is set to be θ1<θ2. On the other hand, a plurality of adjust screws 7 are threaded in internally threaded parts 4f formed normal to the back iron 4 so as to project the adjust screws 7 beyond the bottom face 4c of the back iron 4 in order to abut against the tool reference plane 2c. By turning the adjust screws 7 leftwards and rightwards, the projecting amount of a cutter 3 is determined by the projecting amounts of the adjust screws 7 and a dimension from the tool reference plane 2c. Thus, the re-adjustment of the projecting amount of the cutter can be made unnecessary.
