PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a cutter even under the high load environment.
SOLUTION: It is a cutter constituted of a steel made base metal 1 and a knife-edge tip 2 made of cemented carbide connected and fastened on the base metal 1 through a metal layer 3, and this metal layer 3 is constituted of a high strength metal part 32 formed of metal having a middle thermal expansion coefficient of a thermal expansion coefficient of the base metal 1 and a thermal expansion coefficient of the knife-edge tip 2 and a high toughness metal part 31 positioned on an end part in a connecting region of the knife-edge tip 2 and the base metal 1 and toughness of which is larger than the metal part 32. It is possible to restrain easy production of a crack at an end part of the connecting region by reducing thermal stress causing a trouble at the time of cooling in case of welding and connection by selection of the thermal expansion coefficient of the metal layer 32 and interposing the metal layer 31 made of high toughness metal at the end part of the connecting region where stress is concentrated and the metal layer 32 made of high strength metal to satisfy a demand of strength at the other part.
