Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey downstream metallic pieces in the same direction as upstream ones by arranging between cutting blades a pair of rollers holding a metallic plate from above and below so that the end of the metallic plate is guided upward of the cutting face of the lower blade.
SOLUTION: A pair of upper and lower rollers 10, 11 are arranged between two sets of cutting blades 5, 6 and near the downstream cutting blade 6. The supporting face of a feed roller 10 is located slightly above the upper surface of a downstream lower blade 6a. When two metallic pieces are cut, a conveying roller 17 is actuated to convey the downstream metallic piece out of a machine. The feed roller 10 is actuated and the upstream metallic piece caught between the feed roller 10 and a pressure roller 11 is conveyed out of the machine. Immediately after cutting, the downstream end of the upstream metallic piece rests on the upper surface of the downstream lower blade 6a, so that the metallic piece is conveyed out smoothly without being caught by the lower blade 6a.
