PURPOSE: To cut a glass plate with high dimensional accuracy and to enhance the work efficiency by grooving the underside of a glass plate mounted on a glass mounting base plate and pushing up a glass edge parallel to the groove from receiving base plate.
CONSTITUTION: A glass plate mounted on a carrying-in receiver 24 is shifted onto a glass mounting base plate 1 and slid to a glass receiving base plate 4 by means of an air flow. A cutting device is placed at the gap 3 between the plates 1, 4, and the underside of the glass plate is grooved with the cutter 50. A motor 19 is then worked to push up a working frame part 14, and a pushing body 10 is turned on the axis 12 to push up the glass plate. Thus, the glass plate is cut along the groove.
