Title:
CUTTING APPARATUS, CUTTING METHOD, PROGRAM AND MEMORY MEDIUM FOR THREE DIMENSIONAL SHAPE USING SPIRAL TOOL PATH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3942978
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a cutting load constant when three dimensional cutting is carried out using a spiral tool path.
SOLUTION: The cutting apparatus has a tool, a turning means for turning a workpiece, a first setting means for setting the rotational speed of the turning means, a second setting means for setting the depth of cut of a tool, a moving means for moving the tool from the outer diameter side of the machining region to the inner diameter side toward the central portion of the machining region of the workpiece with the depth of cut set by the second setting means, and a control means for controlling the first setting means and the second setting means so as to keep the cutting load constant. The control means controls the first control means such that the rotational speed of the turning means increases as the tool moves from the outer diameter side of the machining region to the inner diameter side toward the central portion of the machining region of the workpiece by means of the moving means, and controls the second setting means so as to increase the depth of cut of the tool into the workpiece after the rotational speed of the turning means has reached the required value.
