PURPOSE: To work to a chip forming article by a few processes and with an excellent working efficiency by working a frame having the chip forming article, by a chip forming article terminal cutting and bending metallic die provided with a fixed die of a specified structure, a moving die and a punch.

CONSTITUTION: A chip article 2 of a frame 4 having the chip forming article is placed between a punch 7 and a moving die 6, and a frame 3 is placed on a fixed die 5. Subsequently, the frame 4 is positioned exactly by descent of the punch 7 and a pin 17, and simultaneously, the chip forming body 2 is inserted and held by the upper supporting body 9 and the lower supporting body 8. Next, the punch 7 is lowered, a part between the frame 3 and a terminal 1 is cut by a moving edge 13 and a fixed edge 12, a projecting piece 11 of the punch 7 enters a recessed part 10 provided on the moving die 6, and the tip of the terminal 1 is bent by a tip bending part 14. Subsequently, the moving die 6 and the punch 7 are lowered, and the terminal 1 is bent along the chip forming article 2 by pushing the terminal 1 by a pressing and bending part 15 of the punch 7. It is possible to work the chip forming article by one process and one stroke.
