Title:
CUTTING OF CURLED END OF ROVING IN DOFFING IN ROVING FRAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0197226
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To automatically cut the curled end of a roving at a specified position, by stopping the operation of the roving frame just before doffing, then revolving the bobbin and flyer at the same speed, stopping the main motor through the detection signal for the number of revolutions, providing a sag in said roving stretched and making the bobbin rail descend.

CONSTITUTION: An operation of a roving frame is stopped just before doffing followed by driving the main motor M at low speed along with revolving the bobbin 9 and flyer 7 at the same speed. Thence, the main motor M is stopped through the signal from a detector 21 for the number of revolutions of the front roller or the flyer to provide a specified sag on the roving R stretched between the front roller 5 and flyer to 7b. The bobbin rail 23 is then made to descend to the specified position in the doffing and the curled end of the roving is cut at the site in proximity to the discharge point of the slat 24a of the presser 24 followed by doffing.
