Abstract:
To provide a cutting device for an end part of a rod-like vegetable that can regularly make high-reliability determination of whether a rod-like vegetable is hard or soft.SOLUTION: A cutting device 1 for an end part of a rod-like vegetable, which has conveying means 10 that conveys a rod-like vegetable W and a cutting blade 22 that cuts an end part of the rod-like vegetable being conveyed, comprises: a load cell 40 that detects a pressure applied to the cutting blade 2; a pressure waveform calculating part 42 that determines a pressure waveform by plotting pressure values on a coordinate on which an ordinate denotes times and an abscissa denotes pressure values, on the basis of an output signal from the load cell 40; and a pressure waveform analyzing part 43 that determines whether hardness of the rod-like vegetable is proper or not, on the basis of the determined pressure waveform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
