Abstract:
To provide a cutting device and a cutting method which can remove a surface layer part while avoiding formation of scratches accompanying fixation and winding of a rod material composed of a metal material while being bent to the rod material.SOLUTION: A cutting device 1 has a peeling part 30 for peeling a rod material B composed of a metal material having bending so as to remove a surface layer part with a cutting tool 31, and a power part 40 which passes the rod material B through the peeling part 30 and moves it in an axial line direction, and forms the rod material B peeled by the peeling part 30 into a rod-like product B1 without bending it. The peeling part 30 peels a region having a length in a circumferential direction of the rod material B without rotating the cutting tool 31 around an axial line of the rod material B in a state in which the rod material B is bent, and the power part 40 continuously moves the rod material B in the axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
