Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cutting performance of a plate material by saving the cleaning labor of cutting dusts by a method wherein a dust collecting device for suckingly removing cutting dusts developed through the cutting of the plate material is connected to the hollow part, which has an opening opposite to a circular saw, of pressing members.
SOLUTION: First of all, a circular saw 5 is located at the rear end part of a device. Under the state that pressing members 1 are floated with cylinders 21 above a slit part 4, a plate material 2 is moved with a feeding device so as to match the cutting part of the plate material 2 with the slit part 4. Next, by lowering the pressing members 1 with the cylinders 21, the plate material 2 is pressingly fixed onto the top surface of a work table 3. After that, by running the circularssaw 5 under reverse rotation forwards from the rear end part, a sawing part 5a cuts the plate material 2 at the cutting part. At this time, the cutting dusts 8 of the plate material 2, which fly upwards off the plate material by means of the centrifugal force of the circular saw 5, are suckingly removed through an opening part 7 and a hollow part 6 to a dust collecting device 9 without bitting into the gap formed between the circular saw 5 and the plate material 2.
