PURPOSE: To obtain the cutting device, the constitution of which is simple and which is excellent economically, of a super surfacer.

CONSTITUTION: A cutting knife 4 is made by brazing a flake-like cutting tip 7 to a rigid plane iron 6. At the edge of the cutting tip 7, a cutting edge 8 having a ridge race (a) and a cutting face (b) and a rear cutting surface 9 adjacent to the cutting edge connecting with the face (b) are provided. By clamping with a fixing screw 5, the plane iron 6 is fixed to a mounting surface 3, resulting in installing the cutting knife 4 to a knife stock main body 2.
