Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the cutting edge rotary cutting device which is able to treat ductile chips without disturbing the cutting work.
CONSTITUTION: A moving bed 3 is provided along a power cable, which is to be processed, in a freely movable manner. A rotating frame 14 is supported by the moving bed 3, so that the frame 14 can rotate around the periphery of the power cable 5. The rotating frame 14 is rotated by a rotating frame rotating motor 15 via a rotating-frame-torque-transmitting-mechanism 19. A cutting blade elevating mechanism 26 for ascending/descending a cutting blade 25, which cuts the surface of the power cable 5 in the peripheral direction, is installed in the rear part (in the advancing direction) of the rotating frame 14. A guide cylindrical body 27 is supported behind (in the advancing direction) the rotating frame 14 in such a manner that the body 27 exists around the power cable 5, so that chips 28 cut by the cutting blade 25 slide around the body 27 without reducing the diameter of the loop of the chip 28 and are guided backward. The chip 28, which is drawn out of the rear end of the guide cylindrical body 27 is reeled by a chip reeling means 41.
