Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a plant cutter having a cutting blade, which can be easily produced and ground again, and production thereof. CONSTITUTION: This tool is provided with a slender fixed blade and a cutting blade 14 to move back and forth relatively with this fixed blade along lengthwise direction on the fixed blade. At the section overlapped with fingers (teeth) at the fore edge part of the fixed blade, the cutting blade has teeth 32. The teeth 32 reciprocatively move across openings among the fingers. The teeth 32 have a plurality of side parts for forming inverse U-shaped cross sections. By curving the side parts of teeth downward, on U-shaped cross sections, the side parts of teeth are formed so as to be protruded through a plane formed from the base 38 of the blade angularly with this plane. A cutting edge 44 along this part is formed by horizontally grinding the sections of teeth protruded downward on the base of the blade. This face is formed by once passing a grinding tool and that face is parallel to the base of the blade.
