Abstract:
The present invention provides a cutting machine which may appropriately restrain the rotation of the upper blade relative to the lower blade that is irrelevant to user's intention. A cutting machine (A) comprises: a base (B) having an upper surface (m) on which the used paper (P) is disposed and having a lower blade (J) disposed at the side end part; an upper blade (C) which is rotatably supported along the lower blade (J) of the base (B); and a rotation prohibiting mechanism (G) capable of prohibiting the upper blade (C) from rotating in at least one direction. Furthermore, the cutting machine (A) is configured with an operating means for activating the rotation prohibiting mechanism (G) disposed at a position separated from the upper blade (C).
