Title:
CUTTING-OFF METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTION USING HIGH WATER-ABSORBING FIBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2546109
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To construct an impervious wall at low cost by excavating a vertical groove at a position to be cut-off until the vertical groove reaches an impermeable layer, arranging cloth-shaped bodies consisting of high water-absorbing fibers along both sides of the inwall of the vertical groove and impregnating and filling a section between the cloth-shaped bodies with bentonite mortar.
CONSTITUTION: A vertical groove 1 is excavated at the position to be cut-off of water storage facilities in a box shape until it reaches an underground impermeable layer 3. Cloth-shaped bodies 2 composed of high water-absorbing fibers are disposed along both sides of the inwall of the vertical groove 1. When the cloth-shaped bodies 2 are arranged, weights are fitted and suspended to the lower sections of the cloth-shaped bodies 2 as required. The cloth-shaped bodies 2 are disposed, and a section between each cloth-shaped body 2 along the inwall of the vertical groove 1 is impregnated and filled with bentonite mortar up to a necessary level, thus constructing a cut-off wall.
