To shorten cutting time by performing notching while driving a cutter of a cutting machine, detecting that cutting is completed, and returning the cutting machine to an original position by its signal.
A cutting object member A is gripped by a pair of left and right chucks 1 and 1 by leaving a space with a cutting place as a boundary, and an electric wire 2 is connected between both chucks 1 and 1, and a DC power source 3 and a relay 4 are connected in series in the middle of the electric wire 2. A cutter motor 5b of a cutting machine 5 is driven, and a notching is performed by a descent of an elevating means 6 while rotating a disk cutter 5a, and when cutting is completed, breaking of current-carrying in the electric wire 2 is detected by the relay 4, and its signal is imparted to a hydraulic cylinder 6 being the elevating means, and the cutting machine 5 is returned to an original position.
