Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tip capable of suppressing generation of burrs and obtaining a smooth finishing surface, a rotary cutting tool mounted with the cutting tip and a cutting method using the tool.
SOLUTION: In this rotary cutting tool having a plurality of cutting tips, cutting tips having cutting edges made of single crystal diamond 3A are used as a part of cutting tips and auxiliary cutting edges of the cutting edges are provided with circular arc parts of radii of ≥10 mm and ≤500 mm. Cutting tips having cutting edges made of high hard materials except single crystal diamond 3A such as diamond sintered body 3B are used as the remaining cutting tips. It is desirable that the cutting edges of single crystal diamond 3A are projected more than the cutting edges of the high hard materials by ≥0.01 mm and ≤0.05 mm in a rotary shaft direction.
