PURPOSE: To obtain a cutting wire tool coated with particles of a superhigh hardness, which is not influenced by the hydrogen brittleness of a core thereof, by covering a steel wire of a high tensile strength, which constitutes the core, with an austenite stainless steel pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A steel wire 2 of a high tensile strength, which constitute a core is covered at the entire circumferential surface thereof with an austenite stainless steel pipe 3. The surface of the pipe 3 is plated with nickel 5, and particles 4 or a superhigh hardness are half-buried in the layer 5 of nickel. As a result, a cutting wire tool coated with particles of superhigh hardness is obtained. This tool is not influenced by the hydrogen brittleness of the core 2 owing to the austenite stainless steel pipe 3.
