Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a simply producible cyclic olefinic resin fiber having improved moldability, totally excellent strength, elasticity, heat resistance, handle, etc., comprising a random copolymer of ethylene and a cyclic olefin, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The fiber comprises a olefin copolymer of ethylene and a compound of formula I (n is 0 or 1; m is ≥0, r is 0 or 1; R1 to R18, Ra and Rb are H, halogen or hydrocarbon; R15 to R18 are mutually bonded to form monocyclic or polycyclic group, etc.) or formula II (p and q are ≥0; m and n are 0-2; R1 to R19 are H, halogen, aliphatic hydrocarbon, etc.; m and n are 0-2; R1 to R19 are H, halogen, aliphatic hydrocarbon, etc.; carbon atom linked to R9 may be bonded to carbon atom linked to R13 or carbon atom linked to R10 may be bonded to carbon atom linked to R11 directly or through 1-3C alkylene) [e.g. bicyclo(2,2,1)hept-2-ene] and/or a ring opening polymer of the compounds of having I and formula II or a ring opening copolymer or a hydrogenated substance of the copolymer or the polymer.
