Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound having high heat-resistance and amorphous stability, free from unreacted residual chlorine and impurities and useful for an organic thin-film EL element, etc., by reacting a specific phosphazene with a specific amine.
CONSTITUTION: This cyclic phosphazene compound is expressed by formula {R1 and R2 are each [N,N'-diphenyl-N-(3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'- diamino]-3-phenyloxy or phenoxy; n is 3 or 4; at least two of R1 groups and R2 groups are phenoxy}. The compound is produced by reacting hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene or octachlorocyclotetraphosphazene with N.N- diphenyl-N-(3-methylphenyl)-N'-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-1,1'-bisphenyl-4,4'-diamine and optionally reacting the reaction product with phenol. The reaction is preferably carried out e.g. in an organic solvent such as tetrahydrofuran at the refluxing temperature for 12-48hr, etc.
