PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as an antiviral agent and further the new antiviral agent containing the compound as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: This cyclic polyamine compound comprises a 2C, a 3C or a 4C alkylene chain alternately bound to a group containing nitrogen X in which X is NH and 3-20 alkylene chains are contained. Furthermore, this bis or tris cyclic polyamine ammonium compound comprises the 2C, 3C or 4C alkylene chain alternately bound to the group containing nitrogen X in which the X is NH and the 3-20 alkylene chains are contained with alkylene chains or the multikis cyclic polyamine ammonium compound comprises a cyclic polyamine ammonium group in which X of the cyclic polyamine group is a quaternary ammonium (=N+=) and a cyclic polyamine group and 3-6 rings in total are connected with the alkylene chains.
