Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R1 and R2 are H or lower alkyl; R3 is H, halogen or lower alkyl; R4 is (halogen-substituted) lower alkyl or (halogen-substituted) lower alkenyl; R5 is lower alkyl] or its salt. EXAMPLE:2-[1-(Ethoxyimino)propyl]-5-(1,3-dimethylpyrazol-5-yl)-cyclohe xane-1,3- dione. USE:A herbicide having strong herbicidal activity and exhibiting excellent selectivity to soybean, beat, cotton, sunflower, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula R4ONH2 in a solvent such as methanol at a temperature between 0 deg.C and the boiling point of the solvent for several min-48hr.
