Abstract:
To provide a cyclone which keeps a critical particle diameter constant without making equipment large-sized and allows a control thereof as needed, and a circulating fluidized bed furnace using the same.
This circulating fluidized bed furnace is provided with a gate valve 40 which changes cross-sectional area of an inlet pipe 2a, the cross-sectional area of the inlet pipe 2a is changed as needed by the gate valve 40 and, therefore, the maintenance and control of flow rate of the gas which flows in from the inlet pipe 2a of the cyclone 2 to a main body part 2b are enabled without disposing any inserted material such as a parting cylinder in the main body part 2b of the cyclone 2.
