Abstract:
To provide a cycloolefin copolymer that effectively exhibits wavelength dispersion of birefringence, and a film composed of the copolymer.
The cycloolefin copolymer is obtained by addition polymerization of at least one non-cycloolefin monomer (A) selected from among ethylene and 3-20C -olefin compounds, at least one cycloolefin monomer (B) selected from among cycloolefin compounds, and at least one aromatic vinyl monomer (C) selected from among vinyl compounds having a cyclic unit composed of a condensed polycyclic compound. The film is composed of the cycloolefin copolymer.
