Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a compact appearance layout of a machine tool adopting a cylinder device whose total length can be suppressed even when its stroke is elongated.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder rod 14 of a first cylinder 10 provided with a freely extentable piston rod 14 serves as a cylinder tube 31 of a second cylinder 30. A flow passage 43 is formed inside a freely extendable piston rod 34 of the second cylinder 30, which passage 43 introduces operation fluid into a cylinder chamber 32 of the second cylinder 30 composed of the piston rod 14 of the first cylinder 10.
