PURPOSE: To provide a cylinder head gasket held on a temperature-sensing member that can measure as accurate as possible an engine temperature in, particularly, a critical load region.

CONSTITUTION: In a cylinder head gasket 1 of an internal combustion engine, one or more supports 5 arranged in a region to which a load is applied during operation are formed as temperature-sensing members particularly in a wave region 4 between two adjacent combustion chamber openings 2, and in a critical load location thereof, a temperature of the engine is monitored and controlled so as to ensure prevention of the engine from harmful overheating by supplying a coolant.
