Abstract:
To provide a cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine that can form excellent air fuel mixture under broad drive conditions including drive conditions of a high revolving speed and a high load by suppressing fuel sticking on an inner wall surface of a combustion chamber without providing any special sucked air current changing means and also accelerating gasification of injection fuel and mixture with sucked air.
An attachment angle θI of a multi-hole injector 9 and a tilt angle α of a nozzle hole 24 are set to inject the fuel so that a fuel spray 10 injected from the multi-hole injector 9 passes through a circulating part V of a vortex flow 31 formed below a suction valve 7 in the beginning of an intake stroke.
