In the cylinder lock 11, a normal inner groove key 12 is inserted into a rotor 13 which is equipped with a plurality of plate tumblers 21-28, so that the plate tumblers 21-28 can recede inward with respect to an outer peripheral surface 13a of the rotor 13 and can move to rotation permitting positions to make the rotor 13 rotatable. An engaging groove part 60, which is engaged with the plate tumblers 21-28 so as to form a wave shape along the insertion/extraction direction N of locating the plate tumblers 21-28 in the rotation permitting positions, is formed in the inner groove key 12. The rotor 13 is equipped with a plurality of storage chambers (41-44) which can singly house the two plate tumblers (21-28) disposed along the insertion/extraction direction N. Both the plate tumblers (21-28), which abut on each other in one storage chamber (41-44), are urged in directions opposite to each other along the movable direction M of the plate tumblers (21-28).
