To provide a cylinder lock mounting structure and a cylinder lock mounting method which can be improved in aesthetic appearance.SOLUTION: A mounting structure of a cylinder lock 5, includes: the cylinder lock 5 having a cylinder section 51, a box lock section 53, and a thumb turn section 55; and a cylinder lock installation section 3 to which the cylinder lock 5 can be mounted, wherein the cylinder section 51 has a cylindrical body section 511, and a cylinder tip section 512 that protrudes from the body section 511 in an axial direction of the body section 511 and is smaller than the diameter of the body section 511, an indoor opening section 311 is formed larger than the diameter of the body section 511, and an outdoor opening section 321 is smaller than the diameter of the body section 511 and large enough to allow placement of the cylinder tip section 512.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
