Abstract:
PURPOSE: To completely make a key cylinder rotate freely when a cylinder lock is irregularly released.
CONSTITUTION: When a key cylinder 14 is rotated relatively to a sleeve 12 by a normal key 40 in the range of a fixed angle, a rotor 16 is moved in the axial direction by contact of a slant face with the key cylinder 14, so that the rotor 16 and the lever 18 are connected to each other to release the engagement of the lever 18 with a case 11. Further, the key cylinder 14 is rotated together with the rotor 16 and the lever 18 by rotating the key cylinder 14 to operate the lever 18. When the key cylinder 14 is rotated by a key of a different kind, the key cylinder 14 is held in such a manner as to be connected to the sleeve 12 by a tumbler 13 and rotated together with the sleeve 12. Accordingly, the key cylinder 14 is not connected to the lever 18 through the rotor 16, to prevent rotation of the lever 18.
