Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder made of aluminum capable of obtaining an excellent lathe turning surface without causing a lathe turning stripe and chatter or the like even in the case of high-speed lathe turning in which linear velocity at the time of lathe turning is ≥6500 mm/sec, and its manufacturing method, an electrophotographic sensitive body and electrophotographic device.
SOLUTION: The cylinder made of aluminum is formed by lathe turning the surface of an aluminum pipe stock formed by reduction working. In such a case, when length in the reduction direction of the aluminum crystal grain of the aluminum pipe stock is defined as L and length in a direction perpendicular to the reduction direction is defined as D, L/D of ≥70% aluminum crystal grain is 1.5 to 3.0, and the linear velocity at the time of lathe turning is ≥6500 mm/sec. Thus, the electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by using the cylinder made of aluminum as base substance by the electrophotographic device.
