Abstract:
PURPOSE: To support a printing cylinder safely in an equilibrium state even when bearings are removed from one end of the printing cylinder of a rotary press, and the pressure of a hydraulic system is reduced.
CONSTITUTION: Both ends 20, 22 of printing cylinders 16, 18 are supported by bearing members mounted in a side wall 12, and balancing weight assemblies 40, 42 are equipped with actuation cylinders 66, toggle pieces 60, and rotary arms 50. When bearing members are removed from ends of the printing cylinders 16, 18, the assemblies 40, 42 rotate the arms 50 through the toggle pieces 60, apply force to the other ends of the printing cylinders 16, 18, and support the cylinders 16, 18 at the support positions in an equilibrium state.
