To provide a cylindrical body chucking device which smoothly transmits rotation driving force from a rotation driving mechanism to the cylindrical body without damaging the surface of the cylindrical body made of synthetic resin, and to compensate the deviation of the center of a member engaged with it even when a slight deviation of the center is generated between the cylindrical body and the center.
An elastic chucking body 7 comprising approximately cylindrical urethane rubber is stored at a bottom side in a cover 6. Compression air is led from an air introduction port 5a of a joint 5 to a pressure receiving chamber 4a of a rotation shaft 4 through a surrounding passage 5b and an internal introduction passage 4b and a rear surface of a pad 8 is pressed. Thereby, the pressing force is transmitted to a front part through a peripheral part of the elastic chucking body 7 and a hollow-cylindrical cap chucking part 7a bored at a tip end surface is made narrower. Thereby, the cap C is softly and certainly chucked.
