Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable any undesirable rotation of a cylindrical rotary member to be prevented by providing, on a cylindrical boring tool, a means for preventing the cylindrical rotary member from being rotated by vibration taking place during boring work.
CONSTITUTION: A rotation preventing means is provided with recesses 56 formed on a cylindrical rotary member 46, a locking member 58 formed on a flange 28 and engaged with the recesses 56 and a spring member 60 for pressing the locking member 58 toward the recesses 56. These plural recesses 56 are provided at intervals along an annular surface facing to the flange 28 of a cylindrical rotary member 46, and the locking member 58 and the spring member 60 are set in a hole provided in the flange 28 as extending in axial direction. The relationship among these recesses 56, the locking member 58 and the spring member 60 is such as to prevent rotation of the cylindrical rotary member 46 against the movement which forces rotation of the cylindrical rotary member 46 owing to vibration taking place during the boring work.
