To provide a cylindrical heat exchanger improvable in brazing work efficiency while uniformizing the quality of the cylindrical heat exchanger after brazing an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder.
A pipe part 2a of an outlet pipe 2 is inserted into a mounting hole 16 from the inner surface side of the outer cylinder 11 so that a tapered part 2b abuts on a tapered recess 18. A tool is then inserted into the pipe part 2a from a tip part 2c on the opposite side to an end provided with the tapered part 2b, to flare a part of the pipe part 2a toward the radial outside of the pipe part 2a near the end 16a of the mounting hole 16. The pipe part 2a is thereby formed with an annular protruding part 20 abutting on the end 16a of the mounting hole 16.
