To provide a cylindrical illumination capable of lessening a grain feeing and unevenness resulting from a light source element and hardly generating unnecessary shadow.
The cylindrical illumination includes a base section having a light source, a counter section faced to light from the light source and having a tapered reflection material reducing its diameter on a light source side, which can reflect light by diffusing the light, a strut for coupling the base section and the pointed head of the tapered reflection material, a light receiving pipe with an arbitrary color, a fluorescent color, or non-color which surrounds the whole circumference of the tapered reflection material and can transmit at least a part of the light by receiving direct light from the light source and the light reflected with the tapered reflection material, and a cylindrical reflection material arranged on an inner periphery of the light receiving pipe on its base section side. The grain feeling of the light is faded even though the light source may be an assembled body of elements since the light emitted from the light source hits the light receiving pipe by being reflected with both the tapered reflection material and the cylindrical reflection material. Further, brightness can be secured even on the side of the counter section separated from the light source by the tapered reflection material.
