To enable an enzyme having D-amino acid oxidase activities to be mass-produced by culturing a transformant.
The D-amino acid oxidase gene is cloned, and the base sequence of the gene is determined. A host (Aspergillus oryzae) is transformed by inserting the new gene cloned thereby to a vector.
