Abstract:
To provide a DC accident detection device capable of detecting a DC accident and an accident section with high reliability in a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) system.SOLUTION: A DC accident detection device includes an accident occurrence detection unit, and first, second, and third accident section determination units. The accident occurrence detection unit detects occurrence of an accident based on the comparison between a first index value indicating power changes of a plurality of DC transmission lines of interest connected to a power converter of interest and a first threshold value. When a second index value indicating the power change in any DC transmission line of interest exceeds a second threshold value, the first accident section determination unit determines a DC transmission line of interest exceeding the second threshold value as an accident section. The second accident section determination unit determines any DC transmission line of interest as an accident section based on a current change of the DC transmission line of interest. The third accident section determination unit determines whether any DC transmission line of interest is an accident section based on the logical product of determination results by both the first and second determination units.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
