Title:
DAM FISH WAY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3334273
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To guide fishes to the upper reaches of a dam without installing a long and large water channel.
CONSTITUTION: Fishes which run up a river 2 are induced into a fish transfer vessel 9 in watertight structure. A door 23 of a fish entrance 21 is closed and then a lift mechanism 18 is driven, thereby lifting up the vessel 9 along a downstream side wall surface 1b of a dam 1. After the vessel 9 is halted at a position where a fish outlet 22 of the vessel 9 communicates with openings for water channels 5H, 5M and 5L formed in the dam 1, the fish outlet 22 is opened and gates 7H, 7M and 7L are also opened, thereby communicating with the vessel 9 and a dam lake 3 so that the fishes in the vessel 9 may swim to the dam lake 3. Since then, a proper time is selected when the fishes in the vessel 9 are assumed to have moved to the dam lake 3, and the fish outlet 22 is closed. The vessel 9 is lowered to the river 2 where the above operations are repeated. This repeated operation makes it possible to transfer fishes running up the river 2 one after another. Since the water channels 5H, 5M and 5L are installed so as to conform to three different stored water levels, it is possible to correspond to changes in the stored water levels in the dam 1.
