Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a rotary unit damper having a stabilized high performance, with a damping action, due to an oil shearing force between a floating plate and a moving plate, effectively utilized, by means of keeping the gap, between the floating plate and the moving plate, to a very small amount further in a stabilized manner. CONSTITUTION:The damper provides a supporting capable of horizontal motion by a support ball 2. And a bearing 1, for supporting the bottom pivot shaft 3 of a rotary unit, a moving plate 4, constructed in one unit with said bearing 1, a floating plate 5, facing the moving plate 4 and up-down direction movably arranged, and an oil tank 8, for containing those of each plate 4, 5 and fully filled a lubricating oil 7, are provided. And on top of the moving plate 4 is constructed a ring-shape groove 10, in which a plurality of balls 9 having a diameter slightly bigger than a depth of the groove 10 are provided. In tis construction, a gap 11 between the above described both plates 4, 5 can be selected to any desired value by means of changing a diameter of the ball 9 or a depth of the groove 10.
