Title:
DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTING PART STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008116028
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To individually generate a proper damping force in a predetermined piston speed area.

This damping force adjusting part structure has a low speed valve arranged in a passage for making an oil chamber R1 in a shock absorber body 1 communicate with an oil chamber in a reservoir tank 2 and generating a damping force in a low speed area of a piston speed, a high speed valve 4 similarly generating the damping force in a medium-high speed area of the piston speed, and an adjusting valve 5 arranged in a bypass passage for bypassing the high speed valve and slightly adjusting an oil quantity per unit time for passing through the high speed valve in operation. In this case, the adjusting valve 5 has a valve element 51 blocking up the bypass passage at advancing and opening the bypass passage at retreating, an energizing spring 52 energizing the valve element 51 in the advancing direction, and an adjuster 53 strengthening and weakening a spring force of the energizing spring by moving in the advancing-retreating direction of the valve element by operation from the outside, and has a control valve 6 capable of opening and closing the bypass passage at the downstream side of the adjusting valve 5 by advancing and retreating by the operation from the outside while being arranged in the adjuster 53.
