The damping property-imparting agent contains 4,4'-thiobis(3-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol) as an active ingredient, and is used by being mixed with the polyoxymethylene. The damping material contains the polyoxymethylene as the base material, and the 4,4'-thiobis(3-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol) as the damping property-imparting component for imparting the damping property to the polyoxymethylene.
