Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a reduction of the destruction resistance for a Darlington circuit, by connecting a backward diode between the collectors of a transistor at the final stage and a transistor at the front stage side, and to the collector junction of the transistor of the front stage side in series.
CONSTITUTION: A diode 4 is connected between the collectors of a front stage transistor TR1 and a rear stage transistor TR3 in order to prevent the base current flowing through the collector junction of the TR1. As a result, the adverse recovery time of the TR1 is decreased. This eliminates the limitation to the turn-off time of the TR1 to obtain the satisfactory destruction resistance over the entire current region.
